Let Nature Nurture You
As summer unfolds, nature invites us to pause and reconnect. Whether you live in the city or countryside, nature is always around us — waiting to be seen, felt, and explored. So, let nature ground, restore, and uplift you.
From my own self-healing journey and time spent in outdoors, I’ve found simple ways how nature can support health, healing, and bring balance back to our lives — all without needing to travel anywhere far.
Coaching Tip:
Wellness Tips from the Outdoors
🌆 City Living, Naturally…
Visit a city garden, park, pond, or canal — any place where you can carve out a piece of earth near you.
Watch the sunrise or sunset from your balcony or a park bench.
Volunteer in community gardens or nature clean-up days.
Walk barefoot on grass, or simply hug a tree… even just for a few minutes.
🏞 Off the beaten track…
Spend time by rivers, lakes, woods, fields, or the sea.
Try forest bathing (leave your phone at home and let your intuition guide you around), or go hiking.
Choose activities that allow you to be as close to the nature — paddle boards, kayak, or go for a swim.
🍃 Simple Everyday Nature Rituals
Do some gardening — get your hands dirty in the soil.
Organise a picnic with loved ones.
Go out in the warm rain — feel the rain, and let it wash away any tensions your body may carry.
Stargaze or moon-watch to soothe your nervous system. Or sleep under the moon on a warm night — let the moon’s light not only mesmerise you but also nourish you.
🌿 Grounding Tip: Take Off Your Shoes
One of my all-time favourite ways to connect with nature — and myself — is simply walking barefoot. There’s something deeply soothing and powerful about feeling the earth directly beneath your feet. When life feels heavy or overwhelming, grounding yourself in this way brings you back to your body, your breath, and your present moment. Try it on grass, in your garden, in the park — anywhere you can feel that connection.
🌳 Emotional Healing Tip: Hug a Tree
It might seem strange at first, but hugging a tree can be a powerful way to release emotions and find grounding. My former nutritionist encouraged me to try it during a difficult chapter in my life, and I quickly discovered that many people, like me, find comfort in connecting with trees.
Initially, it might feel intense. Tears may come. But over time, you will find a deep sense of peace, strength, and rootedness. Nature — especially trees — has a unique way of helping us process what we carry and heal us in ways we can’t even comprehend. Give it a try. If you’re going through something heavy, let nature hold some of it for you. You might be surprised by how freeing it can be.
