Spring from Within: Detox, Reset & Glow

Last month, we explored different ways of creating more space both within and around us.

Now, it’s the perfect time to gently detox and reset the body after the heavier and colder months—and prepare ourselves to fully glow this spring.

Here are some of my favourite natural ways to support the body’s detoxification.

Body Detox & Reset

🥦 Through Food

  • Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, kale, cauliflower.

  • Fermented foods: sauerkraut, beets, and cabbage

  • Fresh herbs like parsley and coriander

  • Apple cider vinegar (with “the mother”) diluted to drink or mixed in salads.

  • Warm ginger and lemon water— my favourite daily ritual. It’s not only refreshing, but incredibly energising— gentle but yet powerful way to support digestion and detoxification first thing in the morning (best if taken on empty stomach).

💦 Through Water

Have you ever wondered why we cry when we’re both sad and overwhelmingly joyful?

Tears are the body’s way of regulating emotions—our inner water, purifying and detoxifying us from the inside out. So never feel ashamed of crying. It’s truly cleansing.

Other ways water helps:

  • Showers & baths — Add Epsom salt or magnesium for a deeper release. Make it an intentional practice: be present, let the water cleanse not just your body, but your energy too. Plus there is no better place to get some good flow of ideas, inspirations and problem solving in the shower — do you have that too ?

  • Being near moving water— seas, oceans, rivers —can cleanse not just the body, but the heart and mind too.

  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water, but remember, balance is key. (I’ve personally experienced sodium deficiency from overhydrating—it was a journey to rebalance!)

Support your body through gentle, intentional practices:

  • Massage & Self-Massage

    Facial massage, hands, feet, neck—any part you can reach. So much emotional tension lives beneath our skin- in fascia. Our faces reflect it all—joy, sadness, stress—so it’s important to care for them with compassion.

    Gua sha or simply using your hands works wonders. It helps release tension, prevent wrinkles, reduce puffiness, sculpt the face, and support lymphatic drainage—bringing that radiant glow from within.

  • Dry Brushing

    One of my favourite morning rituals before a shower. It boosts energy, supports detox by activating the lymphatic system, and makes your body feel alive from the start.

  • Acupressure

    If you carry tension in your body, acupressure is a beautiful way to work with your energy points. I don’t follow exact maps—I just listen to my body and feel it out.

    There’s a true magic in our hands. I also like using acupressure mats daily—just a few minutes lying, sitting, or standing on them can release tension and support detox.

  • Acupuncture & Cupping

    These are powerful TCM practices to release blockages, increase circulation, and help the body detox. And if you’re brave—try the ear needles! They support full-body circulation and energy flow.

  • Move Your Body

    Whatever feels good and freeing. Dance, walk, stretch—just keep it moving.
